Adult Ministry

First Baptist Church has a comprehensive adult program with classes, activities, and groups for everyone.

 

Discipleship Studies are small group studies that are offered Sunday evenings at 6:00 pm. These are great opportunities to grow and dig a little deeper in your walk with Christ.

 

Intercessory Prayer Ministry utilizes our Intercessory Prayer Room in which participants are encouraged to commit one hour each week, any time, day or night, to pray. There are up-to-date resources for guiding your prayer time, prayer cards filled out by every ministry leader, as well as a dedicated answering machine for the community to phone in requests.

 

Celebrate Recovery is a ministry intended to help individuals find victory over life's hurts, habits, and hang-ups. Experience healing through the 12 Steps and 8 Recovery Principles on Thursday Nights in the Fellowship Hall. Celebrate Recovery includes large group worship and small group study times. The small group study times are dedicated to learning and applying the principles of Scripture that will help the individual experience victory in Jesus.

 

Welcome Team members assist visitors and members alike as they enter and exit our facilities. There is always more help needed in this vital ministry.

 

Women's Ministry (Women @ FBC) is a ministry to encourage women to grow in their relationship with Christ, serve Him together, and minister to the world around us. This ministry seeks to do this by Encouraging women to follow Christ daily, Equipping them through prayer, Bible study and discipleship, and Empowering them to use their spiritual gifts to serve and reach others for Christ.

      The Women's Ministry also offers various Bible studies just for women throughout the week (but generally on Sunday evenings). Pay close attention to the church newsletter, bulletin, and website for information on when these Bible studies are starting.

 

If you enjoy music, you'll enjoy meeting new people and worshiping the Lord through our Adult Celebration Choir, orchestra, or handbell choir.  These programs are under the Music Ministry.
